The unreasonable ubiquity of mathematics: Sujatha Ramdorai

As part of the National Mathematics Day, we (Gonit Sora, Gyanome and Sciensation Media) organised a series of talks by eminent mathematicians. Here we have a talk by Prof. Sujatha Ramdorai.

Prof. Sujatha Ramdorai was a professor of mathematics at TIFR, Mumbai and currently holds a Canada Research Chair at the University of British Columbia, Canada. She has also been a Member of the National Knowledge Commission and of the National Innovation Council in India. Prof. Ramdorai is an internationally reputed Algebraic Number Theorist. She is the first and only Indian to win the prestigious ICTP Ramanujan Prize in 2006 and is also a winner of the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Award in 2004.
