Chandan Singh Dalawat: One Hundred years of Ramanujan's Tau
As part of the National Mathematics Day, we (Gonit Sora, Gyanome and Sciensation Media) organised a series of talks by eminent mathematicians. The other videos have been posted here.
Chandan Singh Dalawat grew up in rural Rajasthan and went to Sainik School, Chittorgarh. He did his doctorate in pure mathematics at Orsay with Jean-Louis Colliot-Thélène in 1993, and came back to India shortly afterwards. He now lives and works in Allahabad, on the banks of the Ganges. He is mainly interested in arithmetic, its history, and its future.
