7. This particular disorder is among the most painful conditions known. 1 in 15,000 people  are known to suffer from this ailment. In a majority of cases,  symptoms of this neuropathological disorder  begin appearing after the age of 50, although there have been cases with patients being as young as three years of age. Although it is more common in females than in males, the disorder came to light in the country because a high profile male superstar from Bollywood claimed to have undergone surgery to relieve himself from the pain caused by this particular disorder. Name the ailment.

8.Among many awards and honors, this gentleman was honored with the fellowships of Royal Society of Medicine, London and National Institute of Sciences of India. He was also conferred the Knighthood by the British government in 1934 and nominated for the Nobel Prize in physiology and medicine in 1929. Apart from achieving great feats in his area of research,  this son of India played a significant role in the establishment of the second Blood Bank of the world in 1939 in Kolkata.
